Blue Jackets claim Dante Fabbro off waivers from Predators

The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed defenceman Dante Fabbro off waivers from the Nashville Predators, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Sunday.

Fabbro hasn’t registered a point through six games with the Predators this season.

The 26-year-old signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract this past off-season.

Nashville selected Fabbro 17th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft and was a highly touted prospect from his time with Boston University.

In 315 career games, the Coquitlam, B.C., native has 16 goals and 72 points.
