‘Worst fight of all time’: Sports world reacts to Jake Paul, Mike Tyson bout

It turns out age isn’t just a number.  

In a shocking turn of events, 27-year-old Jake Paul defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson by unanimous decision Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. 

Once known as the “Baddest Man on the Planet” Tyson last held the title of Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in 1990. “Iron Mike” last fought in a sanctioned bout on June 5, 2005.  

Paul, 27, began building his resume in the ring six years ago, starting with a white-collar boxing match against Deji Olatunji. He eventually moved on to fight professional boxer Tyson Fury, where he lost via split decision.  

A slew of celebrities were in attendance to witness the event, including Shaquille O’Neal, Rob Gronkowski, Charlize Theron, Micah Parsons, and Joe Jonas.
