Nab a Nifty Nebula Portable Projector by Anker, Up to 35% Off for Black Friday

Anker is well-known for its power banks and chargers along with headphones, earbuds and Bluetooth speakers. It also makes some very good portable projectors after getting into that market back in 2017 with its original Mars projector. Its Nebula projector line now includes several models, including more affordable “soda can” size projectors like the Capsule Air to the high-end Cosmos Laser. Every model is on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Week, with some models discounted up to 35%, making them an enticing holiday gift for yourself or anybody who likes the idea of a moveable video feast.

I’ve tried several of the Nebula projectors and some are certainly better than others. I like the new Capsule Air, which is on sale for $280, but it’s not the brightest projector (150 ANSI Lumens) and offers 720p resolution, not 1080p. Still, it’s lightweight (1.43 pounds), very compact, has Google TV and a built speaker that plays pretty loud. All that makes it easy to carry around and project anywhere (with a more entry-level projector like the Capsule Air it’s best not to project an image that’s too large — I tend to stick with 50-60 inches).

Anker also sells accessories for the Capsule Air like a snap-on base and gimbal accessory that give you more projecting flexibility (the gimbal makes it easy to project onto a ceiling). Battery life is rated at up to two hours and you can plug a power bank into the USB-C charging port to extend the battery life.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Nearly all of Anker’s projectors are on sale, including our editors’ pick for the best portable projector, which is the Nebula Mars 3 Air. It’s currently discounted by 30%, which brings the price down to just $420, giving you $180 in savings. Here’s the full list.

In addition, Anker is offering discounts of as much as 52% off refurbished projectors, so if you’re hoping to spend a little less, consider something like the refurbished Anker Nebula Capsule, which is currently down to $150, a $90 savings. Just be aware that it only has 100 ANSI Lumens of brightness (as I said, the new Capsule Air is rated for 150 ANSI Lumens). When it comes to projectors, brighter is better.

Anker’s Nebula line features several models at a variety of price points.
