Alsobrooks Defeats Hogan in Maryland, Keeping a Blue-State Senate Seat


The Prince George’s County executive will be the first Black woman to represent Maryland in the Senate. Her race against former Gov. Larry Hogan was the most competitive in decades in the deep-blue state.
