The latest on Shamar Arnoux.. | Miami Hurricanes fan forums

After an early commitment to Tennessee didn’t work out, the 2026 four-star cornerback from Carrollton, Ga., backed off that pledge and eventually picked USC at the Rivals Five-Star this summer.

But others did not give up. Miami is one of them along with Auburn and Colorado. This past weekend, Arnoux was at Miami’s win over Florida State and the Hurricanes are definitely a team to watch in his recruitment especially because he loves the coaching staff and the program’s direction he’s seeing this season.

“I enjoyed the Miami trip,” Arnoux said. “I got to spend some time and get to know the coaching staff. From what I noticed coach (Mario) Cristobal is definitely a players’ coach and coach (Chevis) Jackson is a no-BS teacher of the game.

“He played at the highest level in the NFL and tries to teach techniques that will translate to the league. I like how the academic staff is very involved with the day-to-day life of the athletes. The best and most exciting part was spending time with my family that still lives in South Florida. As far as my recruitment, Miami is definitely still letting me know that I am a priority and are trying to get to get me to flip my commitment.”
