It’s been a month of price increases for Starlink. After the company raised the price of its satellite dish from $249 to $349 last week, it’s now dropped its $100 “regional savings” discount, too.
Previously, there were 29 states eligible for the discount that Starlink designated as having “abundant network availability,” including Arizona, California, New York and Pennsylvania.
Mention of those states has now been dropped on Starlink’s Regional Savings support page, which now says only Canadian customers are eligible for the discount. The news was first reported by PCMag, which is owned by CNET’s parent company, Ziff Davis.
US states have been removed from Starlink’s Regional Savings support page.
The discount was a relatively recent addition to Starlink’s pricing, debuting in June in 28 states. At the time it was introduced, the discount was for $200. Since then, the price for the satellite dish dropped from $599 to as low as $199 in states with “abundant network availability.”
Now, the price for the Starlink Standard Kit has settled at $349 for everyone — well, almost everyone. Starlink recently imposed a one-time congestion charge of $100 on new users in some areas.

“Our intention is to no longer charge this fee to new customers as soon as network capacity improves,” Starlink’s website states. If you want to avoid this fee, you can enter your email to be notified when the charge is removed.
Starlink did not respond to a request for comment.
