Last year’s debut of The Golden Bachelor ushered in a new era for the reality franchise, introducing a version of the dating competition that centers on older adults. Now ABC is airing The Golden Bachelorette, the latest spin-off in the series.
Viewers watched Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner look for love among 23 contestants before he chose Theresa Nist to marry. But Joan Vassos was one of the women vying for his affection, and she wound up leaving the show early. She’s getting a second chance now as The Golden Bachelorette, where she’ll meet 24 potential suitors seeking to capture her heart.
Fans may remember her backstory: Vassos is a school administrator from Maryland who became widowed after 32 years of marriage. She has four children and three grandchildren, and loves Elton John’s music.
Will she find someone who’s worthy? Here’s when and where to tune in to The Golden Bachelorette.
