Just Stop Foiled! Labour Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting ridicules JSO eco zealots after one breaks bail to try and deliver him a letter – but goes to the wrong house

Labour MP Wes Streeting has ridiculed Just Stop Oil (JSO) after one of its most prolific activists was filmed breaching bail conditions in order to post a letter at his house – only to reportedly visit the wrong one.

Phoebe Plummer, 22, regularly features in the eco-activist movement’s social media content – throwing soup over a Van Gogh sunflower painting and being arrested for breaching bail by attending MPs’ home addresses.

But the group appears to have made an error as it shot a video showing the ‘poster girl’ attending an address, believed to be in London, that she claims is the home of the Shadow Health Secretary so she can deliver a letter.

However, within minutes of the video being shared online, Mr Streeting took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: ‘That isn’t my house.’

The smug JSO post, shared shortly after 3pm today, ripped into the Metropolitan Police and claimed the force was ‘losing its touch’ because there were no officers present to arrest her.

In the video, Plummer says: ‘This is the letter I’m delivering to Wes Streeting. It appears that there’s no police here this time.

‘Maybe they’ve realised that there’s not much harm in just delivering a letter to your MP. It’s what they’ve always asked us to do after all.’

She then sarcastically asks: ‘ Should I go hand myself in for breaking bail? I mean, that seemed pretty harmless but it was worth arresting me for last time.’

The JSO post said: ‘Hey @metpoliceuk you’re losing your touch. Phoebe broke bail today delivering a letter to @wesstreeting, despite being arrested twice for delivering letters before. What’s going on?’

But within minutes of sharing the video, Mr Streeting responded by mocking the group for appearing to attend at the wrong house.

‘I don’t know which poor sod got your letter, but that isn’t my house,’ he wrote, ending the sentence with a clown emoji.

He added: ‘If you want to write to me, you can do so quite easily via Parliament or my constituency office. Constituents can also visit my surgeries.’

Mr Streeting then wrote in a further tweet: ‘It isn’t even my Borough,’ adding a ‘facepalm’ emoji.

JSO had earlier written on X that it would be ’round’ at Mr Streeting’s at 1pm.

It had said: ‘Hey @wesstreeting – get the battenberg out love, we’ll be round yours at 1 x.’

Mockery aside, some shared concerns about whether Just Stop Oil’s publicity stunts will impact the privacy and the safety of MPs – particularly at a time when MPs face increasing threats.

Responding to the JSO tweet, political commentator Matthew Stadlen said: ‘This is really disgusting. Revealing a politician’s house (and this isn’t even Wes Streeting’s house) is absolutely unacceptable and deeply shameful. You disgrace your cause.’

Another user said: ‘So you broke bail, copied the police in to a video of you delivering a letter to the wrong person’s house and you wonder why people are not sympathetic.’

Plummer was also filmed earlier this month outside the home of MP Emily Thornberry after posting a letter through the shadow attorney general’s letterbox.

She told officers at the veteran MP’s address: ‘You might want to know I’m also breaking police bail. I’ve bailed not to go to any MP’s house.

‘I don’t know if you wanna like follow up on that, considering as you can see like that (posting a letter) was our only intention.’

Plummer was then seen being arrested and getting into a police van.

MailOnline has contacted JSO and the Metropolitan Police for comment.
