Chuck Lorre Uses Vanity Card To Thank Firefighters for saving his home

Not all of Chuck Lorre‘s vanity cards are packed with jokes and snark.

In his latest card that appeared at the end of the CBS comedy Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage on Jan. 30, Lorre thanked the first responders who save his home during the Palisades fire.

“To the crew of the LAFD Fire Truck 14,” the card began. “You saved my home. You made a snap decision to stop a rampaging fire that had already destroyed my neighbor’s house. In doing so, you spared me incredible heartache. There are no words that can adequately express my gratitude. Maybe I can buy all you guys a nice dinner and you can watch a grown man cry tears of joy over his chicken parm. Let me know.”

Earlier on Jan. 30, Cal Fire reported that the Palisades Fire was 97% containment while the Eaton Fire was at 99% containment. The fire has consumed 23,000-plus acres and destroyed 6,770 structures, making it the tenth-deadliest and third-most destructive California wildfire on record.
